Kosmonauci
Kosmonauti describe themselves as a boy band with jazz roots and have been playing together since high school. They skillfully blend polyrhythmic structures with captivating melodies, the ease of improvisation with technical perfection, and hip-hop with jazz. These Poland-born, Berlin-based musicians develop their own musical language through an unconventional lineup of vibraphone, saxophone, bass guitar, and drums.
Following their debut album *Sorry, nie*, their new release *Brudna, bielizna* comes out on April 3, promising another experimental ride, this time more firmly rooted in the jazz tradition and honed by hundreds of hours of playing together.
“The question of whether music needs Polish jazz is similar to the eternal debate about whether science needs philosophy. In both cases, the answer cannot be unequivocal or obvious—so it is: I don’t know.” Sensei Dżakba
